Watch: Flooded towns and evacuations as Chile hit by heavy rain

Officials in Chile have declared a state of catastrophe in the Coquimbo region and the province of Huasco due to heavy rains. At least five fatalities have been reported as a result of the extreme weather. More than 99,000 people are isolated, and several individuals are missing across the country. Areas in Coquimbo have experienced historic rainfall, with over 200mm recorded at Cerro Tololo.
