How should you use this result?
This is a population-based estimate, not a diagnosis or an automatic decision about medication. Discuss it with a clinician, particularly if it is high or very high or if you have important risk factors not included in the model.

Scope and method
- SCORE2 estimates 10-year risk in people aged 40–69 without previous cardiovascular disease or diabetes.
- It uses age, sex, current smoking, systolic blood pressure, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and European risk region.
- The outcome covers a first non-fatal heart attack or stroke, or cardiovascular death.
- SCORE2-OP is the separate model for people aged 70 and over. SCORE2-Diabetes may be appropriate for people with type 2 diabetes.
Important: this is an independent educational implementation based on the published model, not an official European Society of Cardiology tool. The result should be verified in a medical consultation.
